Brigantine

8 min read

Brigantine: A two-masted sailing vessel with a square-rigged foremast and a fore-and-aft rigged mainmast. Brigantines were often used for coastal and international trade in the 17th to 19th centuries. Many of these vessels ended up as wrecks on the Great Lakes or other waterways due to their extensive use in commercial shipping.
