Net Tonnage (NT) represents the usable or revenue-generating capacity of a ship, reflecting the spaces available for cargo, passengers, and commercial use. It is derived by subtracting the non-revenue spaces (e.g., engine rooms, crew quarters) from the Gross Tonnage.
